2025: A Particularly Special Year for Us
2025 marked our first full year of Stories Event Hire, a milestone that feels both surreal and incredibly rewarding. We took ownership in March 2024, right at the start of wedding season, so stepping into 2025 felt like beginning with solid footing and a year of continued learning ahead.
If there’s one thing this industry teaches you, it’s that no two years are ever the same. Every season is unpredictable, ever‑changing, and never, ever boring.
A Look Back at 2025
We completed 41 events this year, from intimate private homes to elegant manor houses, more on that later!
Our most popular piece of furniture was The Ophelia Sofa. She featured in nearly half of all bookings and even managed to go out three times in one weekend.
Our closest event was an 80th birthday celebration just 7 miles from our base with our friends at Cambridge Tent Company. On the other end of the spectrum, our longest journey took us 96 miles away to rural Oxfordshire for the most amazing celebration with the team at Bushcamp Events.
Our busiest day by far was 14th June 2025, with our pieces appearing in:12
Birmingham for a private home event
Holkham Hall for a wedding with Sail and Peg
Rutland for a private home wedding with Peacock and Bow
Trumpington for another private celebration
Most of our bookings come in within six months of the event date, which means plenty of planning, logistics, re‑planning!
Alongside event days, we’re often out at open days, showcases, and styled shoots. These mean we get to meet potential clients, collaborate with other suppliers, and create inspirational setups that help people envision what’s possible for their own event.
All Manner of Events & Suppliers
This year brought a wonderful mix of occasions from weddings, Mehndi celebrations, engagement parties, corporate events, and birthday parties ranging from 7th to 80th celebrations! We even finished the year with a New Year’s Eve event with Cambridge Tent Company.
We’ve delivered furniture everywhere, from central London venues to rural Oxfordshire in rain and mud. When vans can’t get close to tents, it often means carrying furniture across fields… but we always get it there.
We feel genuinely privileged to be recommended by so many venues and suppliers, and we’re grateful for every single partnership and industry friendship we’ve built and look forward to working with you all more in 2026.

Highlights
